In times of yore, located at the base of Hampshire, in a city called Southampton, South East England; back in the fifteenth century, there settled a noble household by the name of Voltaire. Their fame soared throughout the entire of Great Britain, the name Voltaire was feared upon mentioned, for they possess both the capital and power. The current Lord was often labeled as someone resolute, forbidding, perfectionist, ambitious; a cruel individual who will not even blink to eliminate any stumbling blocks standing in his way. He was neither the textbook loving father nor an affectionate husband, those titles were but another human relationship of loss and gain for him. He does respect and love his family members for as long as they are a Voltaire, but supremely that unique perception of loving itself is the reason that drives him to not under any condition grow merciful towards them. Concurrently, a much talked about yet also frowned upon being existed among humans; Ysabelle, many referred to her as the witch. Her beauty was said to far surpasses all, on top of being a top tier master of witchery. Voltaire's family head truly lived up to many ugly rumors about him; was fascinated by the witch, by the power she holds. Their entanglement of innocent glamor turned corrupt desires gave birth to many better left unsaid ambitions. Now with the help of the witch, Vitali managed to achieve greater things he wouldn't dare imagine possessing before. The glory of the Voltaire under his leadership towered those of his predecessor. But humans are a bunch of cowards, alone they fear together they sneer. Resentment was built from having to bow down under Voltaire's years of absolute power. Like a hunter waiting for an ambush, they were quietly awaiting the chance to crush Voltaire's arrogance. That very chance finally came in the happening of a witch-hunt event. The neverending rumors and mysteries shrouding the Voltaire household were collected and brought to the surface. Was it humanly possible to be born without flaw? Even the King himself managed to lose a son, yet anybody who opposed Voltaire ended up perishing in the most tragical way possible.

Desires for revenge encouraged them to start a rebellion. Precisely one summer night at Southampton in the year 1530, the whole Voltaire mansion fell victim to the civilian's scheme. Everyone living in the estate was caught by the fire, the core family members such as Vitali and his wife together with five of his children; including all the servants, even the old and young weren't spared. Ysabelle deeply grieved the sudden loss of her beloved. The guilt tormenting her birthed insane idea. So what if they had once met death? She could just bring them back to life, doesn't she? The promise of forever secretly vowed between her and Vitali shall remain. She has never been someone with a lot of mercy to those who broke promises, her beloved included. Their secret rendezvous and intimate exchanges have consumed her without her knowing. For immortal beings like her to be so infatuated to a mortal, toyed by the very mortal emotion such as love even. How ironic. Ysabelle performed a forbidden ritual on the Voltaire, an immortal spell; that night, the world welcomed the birth of new immortals. The witch Ysabelle meet her end that night. Her physical body perished as if devoured by mother earth, her soul dwelled upon one of the soulless body showered by the red rain of her blood by instinct as if it was rightfully hers. The Voltaire woke up drenched in the blood of their savior, above the ruins of what they once called home.

They were human no more. They were reduced to something evil that is driven by lust and hunger. Ready to inflict fear, and to embrace their immortality as the Original Vampires.

Acquiring new power wasn't made their lives any easier as they currently reside in Edinburgh, Scotland. One point at a time, Vitali thought of a little entertainment to enjoy this long life of theirs. With Ysabelle's permission, he proposed a challenge to his children. Under the pretext of winning a secret legacy that was said to be the only thing able of ending an original vampire's life, he wanted them to come for his neck. The challenge also comes with some unreasonable requirements. Each of them must present him at least one sacred artifact to win an entry ticket to battle him; he left the artifacts to their choosing as long as it piqued his interest. Which one of them is successful in ending his life first will be awarded by Ysabelle, who had secretly possessed their mother's body ever since that fateful awakening.
